We start to prioritize keeping our living spaces warm as the winter months draw near. Conventional heating systems may be too expensive to operate continuously or inefficient for many people. This is where the Handy Heater comes in, providing a practical and affordable way to heat smaller areas.
With a direct wall outlet plug, the Handy Heater is a small, lightweight gadget. It is small in size, but it has a lot of power, warming any room it is used in very quickly. It is ideal for use in a variety of locations, including bathrooms, offices, and bedrooms, thanks to its user-friendly design.
The energy efficiency of the Handy Heater is one of its best qualities. With this device, you can heat the specific space you’re using, as opposed to central heating systems that heat the entire house. This focused strategy offers a more ecologically friendly heating option in addition to reducing energy expenses.
The Handy Heater is not only incredibly easy to use but also extremely efficient. You can tailor your heating experience to meet your needs thanks to the temperature settings’ adjustable range and the timer’s integrated in design. Because of its safety features, which include overheat protection, you can use it with confidence.
In general, the Handy Heater presents a feasible option for individuals seeking to remain toasty without incurring the exorbitant expenses linked to conventional heating techniques. Because of its portability, effectiveness, and simplicity of use, it’s a great option for anyone wishing to improve the comfort of their home in the winter.

Main characteristics and appearance
Gosha, the neighbor, did not go to the physics department in vain when he said, "We need to find out the power of the electric heater." Well, let’s visit the location. Let’s examine the qualities:
- Material: heat resistant plastic.
- Type: thermal fan.
- Element: ceramic heating
- Thermostat: There is
- overheat protection: There is
- Control: display
- Adjustment: There is
- Voltage – 220-240 V.
- Maximum power – 400 watts.
- Expected temperature – 15-32°С.
We won’t deny that the Handy Heater’s absurd price was the first thing that drew us in as students. However, we didn’t think the "manual" device would malfunction after a week. Most importantly, will a tiny device like this warm up the space?
We searched the Internet as well. It seems that 1000 watts are needed to bring a 20 m³ unheated room to room temperature. It turns out that an 8 m2 room can be heated by the Handy Heater with its 400 W.
Although our room is smaller, the plans list it as 10.4 square feet. Furthermore, the computations were done using a room with a 3 m ceiling, which is obviously lower than ours.
Should the heating be turned on earlier??
However, there was nothing we could do because we still lacked more than two extra thousand thousand to investigate whether something of that kind could be purchased in Moscow for that amount of money; we were too lazy, and our curiosity about technology alone awoke (Goshi, I have more humanities ). Overall, we chose to order Handy Heater and take a chance.
The fact that he was brought quickly was cool. They instantly somehow perked up and ran to the post office, since they were already tortured to sit at home in jackets.
What we observed was a neat black plastic building with instructions and a red heater enclosed in a box with a red label. Although there were no instructions in Russian, it is not hard to figure out how to use the Handy Heater because there are plenty of videos on the Internet. The following are the room heater’s specifications:
On the side is a red on/off button, and on the back wall is a plug. The Handy Heater is obviously larger than a mosquito fumigator, but the mini-heater is plugged straight into an outlet. It is possible to rotate the fork to position it either vertically or horizontally.
- 15 cm in height;
- 8 cm deep;
- 9 cm wide;
- weight – 0.48 kg.
We simply went about our own business, leaving the heater on the wall. We valued compactness as much as wire-free functionality. (However, even though these devices are forbidden here, as they are in most dorms with outdated wiring, everyone uses them gradually.
If the commandant comes to check, it would be simple and quick to remove such a portable heater. Just keep quiet!
But in all honesty, the low power is a benefit. At least there was no longer any reason to fear that accidents or fires would result from traffic bottlenecks. 400 W proved to be more than sufficient for a small room at the same time. After a few hours, we were comfortably seated in our light sweaters, not even flinching from the chill.
The Handy Heater operates using the same principle as a fan heater: the air is heated by the heating element inside, and then it is accelerated around the room by the fan. I read that heating elements differ before I wrote this article. Because they don’t dry out the air and heat the air gently, ceramic ones, which are the most recent, are regarded as the best. That is precisely how they are in the Handy Heater.
As a result, unlike models with open coils that allow dust to enter, this one does not smell burned when turned on. When it comes into contact with high temperatures, it can occasionally even catch fire (and oil heaters in general sometimes explode). We really didn’t smell burnt dust and plastic, and the air wasn’t "heavy," so ceramic elements are safer and more enjoyable to use.
Additionally, the Handy Heater features a thermostat that shuts it off as soon as the air reaches a predetermined temperature or room temperature. Both practical and, once more, completely safe. I believe this will also help save a lot of money, especially in light of the fact that many people receive their electricity bills during the off-season.
The buttons marked "+" and "-" just above the display are used to adjust the necessary temperature:
Under the left display, as seen in the picture, is a Speed button that changes the fan speed and intensifies or decreases the air flow. Convenient if you’re sitting far away from the outlet or want to rapidly warm the entire space.
But then there will be more noise from the heater. Many claim that one of the primary issues with fan heaters is the constant noise, which irritates them. I don’t know about that; I wear headphones for the majority of the day. Gosha also claims that he stopped noticing him as he grew accustomed to it.
And here’s another "trick" that someone might find helpful: set a timer. Assuming you get back from work at seven o’clock, change the time to 17-00. The room heater comes on at precisely five o’clock and takes two hours to warm up a bedroom, for example.
The bed is already warm when you enter and collapse onto it. (Well, we don’t really use this function because we kind of just kind of randomly head back to the dorm.)
These are what we have noticed. What are the benefits of the Handy Heater, to put it briefly:
- Fast heat.
- Fire safety.
- Quality: not made of cheap plastic, no unpleasant odor during operation.
- It has good ceramic electric heaters.
- The heater is compact, lightweight, wireless.
- Blowing and heating modes are adjustable.
- There is also a thermostat and timer, you can customize the room climate control individually for yourself.
- Minimum noise level (compared to larger fan heaters).
- Economical in terms of energy consumption. (By the way, 400 watts is the maximum power if it’s zero outside and there’s no heating at all. At room temperature the heater operates at 350 W).
- Low cost of the device itself.
You see, we were even more than happy. It’s also likely that you’re already curious about what other people think of the Handy Heater. Let’s examine this.
Reviews
I looked up reviews from actual customers on the Internet specifically for you. Impressions that are intriguing. Personally, I came to the conclusion that people buy things without thinking twice, even if they don’t initially meet their needs.
This inspired me to write my own review in order to promptly shield some people from the error and provide an affordable fix for others. Nobody should freeze at home, in my opinion—especially in 2021, when the pandemic has forced many people to stay at home.
Negative
Horrible, it took several hours for the thermometer to rise by five degrees! It stayed in the room because it was cold. Whom do they do this for? Of course, expecting anything less from a power of 350 W is unrealistic. Even if it were a 2 by 1 toilet, that wouldn’t be a fact. I will never buy this again; I’m screwed.
My comment: This is what I was talking about. I asked our regular expert Gosha why this was so? There is clearly no point in lying to a person. Gosha throws up his hands, saying that there is still a difference: to warm up a small room where two people breathe, not on the first floor, with wooden windows (but at least without huge cracks) – or, say, a corner apartment on the north side. Or on a windy day, without heating, at -10℃. Additional heat is lost in rooms with large windows, a balcony, especially not glazed. The review does not contain a description of the apartment, so it is difficult to say anything about such an “exposure”.
Somehow, the six-square-meter bathroom heated up to eighteen degrees. A little silly: neither this nor that.
My response: It’s obvious that using a tiny gadget won’t generate heat, especially in tropical climates. This is basic reasoning. Furthermore, you won’t heat the cottage. Generally speaking, people who are constantly "on their suitcases" can use this room heater to carry it with them or to warm the air when it appears to be heating but is still cool. In addition, since the days are already getting chilly, we still use the Handy Heater even though we already have heat. It makes a big difference, particularly when compared to the guys’ rooms that aren’t heated further.
After that, a lot of people write, "bought for an unheated country house," implying that the item isn’t heated. November. within Russia. Well, folks, what a mess… Really?
While most people were happy with the Handy Heater, some did find certain flaws in it.
Neutral
I paid 4,000 rubles a year ago for this room heater as a work purchase. My hands were simply too cold from working at a computer, so I made the decision to spend money. Turning it on next to it makes it nice and warm. Easy to transport with you. It’s true that it’s insufficient now that the office is just as cold.
Remark: It’s interesting to use it by carrying it in your bag and warming it up while seated close to it. It is actually referred to as "manual" or handy. As long as there is an outlet, it will always be warm wherever you are.
I’m not sure how this will heat a large room, but it works perfectly for small children. Maybe more, in my opinion, but it has to work constantly after that. The savings then aren’t all that significant. Generally speaking, I advise using it in small spaces and for brief periods of time. Well, though it could work well in the office as well.
My response: Look who’s worried. Once more, everything is dependent on the office’s size and degree of heat loss.
I would like to inform everyone attempting to use this device to "heat" their home that its power is limited to 300 watts. (To put it in perspective, a typical heater has roughly 2000 W.) It is not intended for this use; this is a road heater. Its portability and lack of wires are its key features; you can take it everywhere you go.
My response: This also applied to our situation. I believe renting apartments or taking a room heater on business trips will be convenient for someone. (Note: The power of a handy heater is 350–400 W.)
I consider this to be a decent heater for the price. I use it to heat the loggia to a perfect temperature until I get upset. If it’s cold in the room, I can adjust the temperature a little. You’ll have to pay more for a more potent gadget if you want a heat gun for that kind of money; otherwise, it won’t happen. The most important thing is to avoid fakes, as there are many of them these days.
My advice: Only place orders from the official website to avoid falling for a fake.
Friends told me that this heater isn’t very good at heating up big spaces. But the kitchens (less than 14 sq. m.) and bathrooms (12 sq. m.) require it. They usually warm up in a few hours, but occasionally they take a bit longer, depending on the outside temperature. Handy Heater uses just 400 W, making it cost-effective. Its portability—being able to pull it out when needed and put it back—is another feature I enjoy. The price is probably a little steep, which is a drawback. Furthermore, it is fixed in place; it protrudes wherever a socket is found.
My comment: I"ve been wondering for a long time if our heater would heat a larger room. As you can see, it may well. The price may have been too high, but we were lucky to buy it cheap – with a 50% discount. (The promotion seems to still be valid there now.) As for the fixed position of the heater, for our dorm room it was, on the contrary, a big plus. There is no worse thing – walking and kicking the floor heater, tripping over wires. And so everything is set up: either a dryer on the floor, or something else – a hostel, in a word… On the wall, Handy Heater at least doesn’t get in the way, taking up a minimum of space.
On Handy Heater, we also discovered a ton of positive reviews. To illustrate the variety of uses for this room heater, let’s enumerate a few of them.
Positive
Sometimes a room heater like this is just unreplaceable. Without it, I don’t know how I would bathe a child because the bathroom is always cool. There is no other option, so I turn on the heater for about 20 minutes before taking a bath.
Five of us bought one for each workstation in the office at the same time. Although we were apprehensive to purchase a more costly gadget, it turned out that we didn’t need it. Still, everyone is toasty and cozy.
I have a lot of experience with the Handy Heater heater. I put it to the test over the course of three seasons because our heating frequently breaks. There were no malfunctions or odors, and the noise level was acceptable. I can suggest this gadget to anyone experiencing the same issue.
Gosha’s girl Anya
And we even have one real review from a person not from the Internet! Anya, Gosha"s girl, having found out how much "this tiny heater of ours" costs, also bought it for her room. In general, there is nothing new here, the rooms in our dorm are typical, almost identical. But you might be interested to know that Anya appreciated the design. Handy Heater seemed to her like a wall-mounted music speaker, she liked the pleasant lighting and the fact that, in general, it “does not catch the eye”. I didn’t even think about it, but suddenly it’s important to someone. In general, this is not a huge oil heater, it does not spoil the appearance of the interior.
He "eats" little energy, which piqued her interest as well. "What difference does it make? You don’t have to pay the bills," I questioned. Gosha attempted to demonstrate for me with signs, "No need!," but Anya’s eyes lit up immediately. She grabbed my button and started talking for a long time about the "carbon footprint" (Anya is pursuing an ecology degree). I did understand one thing: if you are concerned about the state of the environment, you will find that an energy-efficient heater allows you to sleep a little bit better at night.
