Rubber-and-bitumen sound-absorbing material. Also offered in sheets and rolls. Non-hygroscopic because of the combination of bitumen-impregnated kraft paper and granulated balsa wood. Bitumen gives this material its good waterproofing qualities.

  3. In a narrow and long room, it is possible to lay the lamellas in the direction of natural light – otherwise the work will be delayed due to the adjustment of a large number of lamellas, and their consumption will increase significantly;
  4. The material is always laid with the smooth side up.

Laying on wood

It is not possible to lay underlay beneath laminate on a wooden subfloor. It is put together immediately onto plywood sheets or boards that are placed above the subfloor. Under the flooring for the lamellas, soundproofing material is installed in between the joists.

Sound insulation without screed

Sound insulation is installed directly along the floor’s base when installing flooring on a budget.
